What is a RAM-optimized VPS?
A RAM-optimized VPS provides a much higher memory-to-CPU ratio than standard plans, with 8 GB of RAM per vCPU. It's the right choice for workloads that need to keep large datasets in memory: in-memory databases (Redis, Memcached, KeyDB), search engines (ElasticSearch, Solr), real-time analytics, JVM applications and Magento or Shopify catalogs.
When should I pick a RAM-Based plan instead of General Purpose?
Choose RAM-Based when memory is your bottleneck: Redis caches over 4 GB, ElasticSearch clusters indexing millions of documents, JVM heaps over 8 GB, in-memory analytics, ML model serving, or any application that swaps to disk under load. Pick General Purpose if your workload is balanced between CPU, RAM and disk.
Is the RAM dedicated or shared?
All RAM is fully dedicated. We do not oversell memory: every gigabyte you pay for is reserved for your VPS at the hypervisor level. Combined with DDR5, this means stable performance and zero memory swapping caused by neighbour tenants.
Can I use these plans for Minecraft or game hosting?
Yes — modded Minecraft, Rust, Ark and other RAM-heavy game servers run smoothly on RAM-optimized plans. Anti-DDoS L4/L7 is always included and you have full root access to install your own panel (Pterodactyl, AMP, etc.) or use ours.
Can I upgrade to more RAM later?
Yes, upgrades are instant from the VM panel. You can scale RAM up at any time with no service interruption — useful if your dataset grows or you add new caching layers.
What type of memory do you use?
All RAM-Optimized plans are backed by high-frequency DDR5 memory, fully reserved at the hypervisor level (zero oversell). If your workload specifically requires ECC RAM, see our VPS Ryzen 9 line which ships with DDR5 ECC for additional protection against single-bit memory errors.
Does my server include backups?
Yes, manual backups are included for free with all VPS plans. You can create a safety copy of your data whenever you like from the management panel and restore it in minutes — particularly useful before schema migrations or large bulk imports.
